Orbea,orbea, orbea - The latest bikes from the heart of the Pyrenees have arrived at The Bike Shed.  These fantastic bikes are all hand built in the factory in Basque region of Spain. 

The flagship Orbea Orca is completely redesigned for 2007! Orbea Orca is where art marries performance. Using Toray M40J, the most advanced carbon fibre for bicycles, they have created a frame that is lighter and stiffer than any bike that Orbea have ever made while still retaining the legendary ride quality. Orbea Orca’s sizespecific tubing means that the tubing on every size changes to sustain the integrity of stiffness. On top of this, Orbea Orca also has a “nerve” that runs the length of the frame to maximize stiffness and maintain a smooth ride.

As the proud owner of a new Orca '07 I can vouch for how these things have been made to go up and down hills amazingly.  The bikes are light and handle brilliantly.
